For utility Smart Meters, Solar Panel Inverters, and Vehicle Electronics
Smart Meters: Place in a secure location where it will not be blown away by the wind [placing between the electric box housing and the supporting wall may be a good location]. (use 1 on a bank of smart meters all within 5 feet).
Solar Panel Inverters (the box that converts DC to AC): Place in a secure location where it will not be blown away by the wind [placing between the box and the supporting wall may be a good location].
Vehicle Electronics: We commend 1 near dashboard electronics and 1 either in each door pocket or under seats (place where they will not be blown out of the vehicle).
Older models with minimal electronics could require 1 Smart Card, whereas, for newer vehicles with more electronic options, we would recommend 3 Smart Cards.
